Does the AEM control the Cruise Control? I noticed I didn't have it when I wanted to use it the other day.

Interesting question, in the last 14 months or so I've had the AEM EMS in my car I haven't tried to use cruise control (daily driver and 4+ la<->sf trips). Although, I always assumed it'd work because there is an independant cruise control unit (atleast on the early cars..not sure odb-II) and associated sensors/switches. I'll give it a try tomorrow..

I was told by Mike at AutoWave that my pending AEM installation would cost me my TCS and cruise control functions. I take him as a fairly reliable source. However...

Devin, are you out there to settle this bar bet?

The AEM can be programmed to work as "TCS" but you do loose the factory TCS. I am not sure that the AEM controls the Cruise Control, but I am sure that mine is still working.

Armando, you have OBD-I, with AEM, no stock ECU (no dynomike harness) and you cruise works? then it is obviously not controlled by the stock ECU and everybodies should work correct? Or perhaps there is a separate module for cable throttle which was later eliminated and able to be incorporated into the obd II TBW system? Then... wouldnt Mikes OBD-II harness be able to preserve the cruise because he keeps the stock ECU AND utilizes the TBW?

That's correct

A question better directed at Mike himeself, or maybe the higher ups at AEM when it comes to OBD1

Problem solved by Mike, cruise is now in the OBD II /AEM/dynomike harness
