Has anyone run an AEM on a FI car with the O2 sensor disconnected?
I heard that the sensor fails very quickly because of the amount of fuel running through the system and that some cars run the AEM without a sensor.
If you're not going to be using the WB O2 sensors (not using meaning the heater circuit is not hot) you're better off simply removing them just to be on the safe side.
Thanks Mark. That is what the shop is planning on doing. They said that the car may have lower gas mileage without the 02 sensors connected. I was wondering if it's OK to run that way. ...and what the pros and cons are.
