After owning and driving my nsx in S.FL for over 3 yrs It was finally time to get the A/C fixed...luckily all it needed was flushed and recharged and now the a/c is iiiice cold! BUT NOW, the a/c only blows cold on full blower and lowest temp...if i try to make it warmer or blow less air it automatically shuts off...any ideas??

thanks!

HAHA my AC just died on my NSX...but seeing as I drive with the windows rolled down about 95% of the time, I am in no hurry to get it fixed.

I don't mean to hijack this thread...but how do you flush the system? Is this something I can do myself?
It's not recommended. You have to recover any refrigerant in the system, disconnect the fittings, use a special flush kit, etc. I think the hardest part is making sure you get all the cleaning fuid out. HC-based fluids evaporate more easily but are less common.

Spend the extra to find and fix the leaks, or the recharge may not last all that long.

Ha! I took 3 years fix my AC too. Black car in Vegas with 115 degree heat = very sweaty back.

yes sir...couldnt agree more with you! Luckily my car isnt a daily driver, yet i drive it all the time just not to work or to the store...just lot of joy rides. Im use to not having a/c only time i really need it is when i am traveling and i get caught in the rain. Iv made many 600 mile trips with the windows up and no air...finally decided it was time to fix it.

i would also recommende anytime you flush and recharge your system, have a machanic run dye in the lines so in case you have to check a/c again, you already have the dye in the lines.

exactly, freon always stays there,, only way it can escape is for it to leak

so if you have no freon in the system, than there must be a leak

Where in south florida did you go to get you a/c fixed because mines doesnt blow cold at all and it has the same only blowing at full blast issue also. :frown: thanks

Iv only had my car serviced at the Acura dealership in Augusta, GA. I have family there so every summer I usually get my car checked out. Acura of West Palm Bch, FL iv heard also does a good job. Flushing and recharging our A/C is just as easy as any other car...I personally dont let anyone other then an nsx tech touch my car, but if you happne to know someone skilled wouldnt take much to do it.
