alignment before spring install...good or bad?

I'm wondering, since my car's alignment setting isn't ideal for tire life (I have a '92), and installing H&R's would really throw it out of whack, would it be "wiser" to get the car aligned to 97+ settings first, then install the springs? Would this give me less toe/camber? Just wondering.

Or should I just stick to aligning after the spring install?

You have to align the car after you change the height, so if you are lowering it with the H&R springs it would be a total waste to align it right before installing them.

Perfect timing for this thread! I just had springs installed and forgot about alignment. DUH!

Hey Ilya, how much did Larry charge you for the spring install? You keep stock shocks?

$250 for the springs and sway bars. No shocks. I think he just threw the sway bars in for free since it only took him 10-15 minutes. Expect $250 to have him install springs. I got a great deal on the eibachs and only paid $150!

I can't believe what a difference they made in the looks department. Even those red wheels look like they belong on there (still making them white though).
I can't judge the handling improvement because I did sway bars too, but the combo has given excellent results.
