This last episode of Best Motoring the October in Japanese version. (or Hong Kong ) version, they have a recap of the "50 biggest clip in BM history". Actually it's spread from the Aug to Oct episode...

Anyway the last and the most valuable is that Senna was ripping a NA1 R in a Jap. F1 track, no gloves, no helmet and leather shoes... Amazing video. That short couple minutes are better than the 1000 words we read in different articles about Senna...

I don't know how to host video from VCD, but if there's needed, I'll gladly send out a copy and let Lud put it on the FAQ

I will STRONGLY advice ALL list member to abstain from using terms like "Jap" which is degrading and derogatory.

hate to say this but I agree.....I have pretty darn thick skin, but I try not to assume that others are the same way. Some may have more sensitivity...just my 2 cents.

It is not about me getting offended. It is about the RESPECT for that country and the people. What does being from San Francisco have to do with this?

I think in reference to being in San Francisco, ever since I can remember from college. UC Berkeley would protest on everything an anything, from gay marriages to war. So in short, it is not a surprise that you comment on such.

I'm sorry if I did offended anyone, I made the post two days ago at 6:20am and I was hurry to my work... To be honest with you, I don't know if there's any different meaning of "jap" obviously I was too excited to share that with everyone here, and I was late to work and tried to save couple letters before I go to work...

Anyway, to those wanting the video, I believed you may order the copy online... On the other hand, I don't mind sending a copy to anyone who would host the clip and send it to LUD for me.

Ripping means going with top speed around easy corner like Senna did?

Watched it two days ago. He did a slight burnout into the track and then just blasted off many time to top speed. I just wonder how easy the type-R goes from 60 mph to top speed in maybe just 3-4 seconds and he did it rather easilly. I think he offered a ride to one of the interview/ photographer but I don't know if anyone went with him.

I just want to show to my friends how the greatest driver of all time driven the NSX how it should be driven.

yeap, Ripping around he was... now, is that a whole episode just about Senna??
Yeah, the Ayrton Senna: My Hero video was all about Senna. It has a quick segment about his childhood days and then it follows him as he visits Japan for a Honda promotion during the heyday of McLaren-Honda's dominance in F1. It has him shooting a commercial for the then new Prelude (in between takes he's thoroughly checking out the Prelude's VTEC engine and tells the camera "This Honda VTEC is F1 technology." ) It was insane to see the Japanese reaction to Senna in the video. It was literally a mob scene everywhere he went. Girls would be weeping and just basic pandemonium ensued everywhere he appeared. The last segment of the video was him driving the NSX-R. Really awesome video for all Senna and Honda fans alike.
