almost sideswiped by a chp cruiser today

short version: "volunteer" sticker in the l/r pax window, this clown entered the hiway, crowded his way in between the 2 cars on my right, then damn near hit me trying to shove his way 3 feet off my front bumper. i laid on my horn and the driver waved at me as if he was thanking me for bringing the grey poupon. after that, he tailgated the white bronco (not oj's afaik) i had been behind only to exit the hiway 1/2 mile down the road.

what an idiot.

i called 911/chp emergency and reported the incident, including license plate number and when i returned home i emailed a complaint to the chp.

in all of my years of driving, i've never seen a police vehicle do this... it really chapped my ass.

UPDATE:

i received a call from the san jose chp ofc today telling me they'd contacted the driver of the car, he quickly acknowledged doing it - didn't see me until he was changing lanes - said the hand-wave was his means of apologizing while moving.

i told the investigator i appreciated the follow-up and we can all move on now.

by the way you put it, makes him sound like a liar, but i have to admit i have seen numerous gov-owned vehicles driving like this
