Another exhaust question... Light, quiet and adds power?

Hello Gents,

What is the best bet for a quiet, light and freeflowing exhaust (preferably with single tips)? I like to have my fun unadvertised. Through my use of the search function it seems like the only exhaust that meets my criteria is the Comptech. Whatever I get (if anything) would have to work with CT headers and cats. Am I missing anything?

Insights? Better off stock?
Anyone have Comptech sound clip?

TIA-

I think it is difficult to meet your criterias completely:
1. Quiet means more muffler = more weight
2. Light means less mass = either less muffling, or expensive material (titanium, or iconel)
3. Free flow means less muffler = Loud, but lightweight, free power.

Exhaust tech is quite simple like that. You will have to compromise on one of your criterias. If you have cash, do titanium.

Now I've seen exhaust systems that have a open/close mechanism on the exhaust, which will open during full throttle, for a free, loud flow, and wil stay closed when cruising, quiet and nice.
I think Apexi makes one, but never seen a NSX system. Could be the perfect compromize.

I think the comptech would probably fit your needs best. It is not much louder than stock and you should get a little power gain.

Even a 8000 RPM the comptech is not very loud.

The RSR exhaust is the closest to stock that I have heard. The Comptech is noticeably louder in my experience.

I like loud exhausts, which is why I will eventually get rid of my RSR for a Taitec.
