Antenna cap/plug

I am planning to put a double din stereo with xm radio in my car this spring when I redo all the oem stereo in the car with all aftermarket components.

Does anyone know of a custom built plug/cap that can be inserted in the hole after the factory antenna has been removed?

You can get one from the Acura stealership.

I think it was for the Legend. I forgot. My friend got one for his NSX. I'll ask him the next time I see him.

yep I just did this. I got mine from the hOnda dealer. # 82871-671-000 Its a 25mm rubber grommet. Works fine. $3 or something.

What is the reason for removing it? You do not have to remove it just because you're doing a stereo upgrade. Simply disconnect it in the trunk and that's it.

If you're removing it for other reasons then I guess the post above me has the answer

I'd keep the antenna in place for a while. Looks like Sirus/XM is going to filling Chapter 11 very soon. You know analog FM and HD Radio will always be there. Save yourself the hassle and simply disconnect the antenna!
