I am love with NSXs (currently own a S2000) and would gladly come to drool over your cars if you do have a informal meet. :) The local S2000 chapter has some lunch/dinner meets once a month.

I am sure I can get a few S2K owners to show up too. Call it a cross-cultural meet. :)

Thanks,

Abhi

Wow! NSXes are not well represented here, seems like. We in the S2000 club meet once a month for dinner and drinks and would love to have some Xs show up. Please contact me if anyone is interested in informal drives and gatherings.

what's funny is that there's no regular meet with nsx owners in OR, but they managed to put nsxpo 08 together. and last time I checked, they have more nsx attending track event than in WA.

and there's no doubt we have more nsx in WA than OR.

WA people sucks! (I'm being one of them)

you should PM Titaniumdave and see when is their next meet.

Excellent! :) I will definitely check it out. I'll PM TitaniumDave also to see if he is interested in setting up a informal meet.

Not sure if SWIFTVISION was just shinin' ya, but dozens of NSXen will be descending upon Portland in September for the annual NSXPO gathering.

NSXPO is hardly a "regular meet up" of NSX's.

Most the the local S2000 owners are punk kids who want to act tough and talk a lot of shit....no thank you.

I would disagree with you (you are generalizing) and also say that this is the kind of attitude that makes NSX owners look like snobs (I am also generalizing). :)

Anyways, thought you guys would be open to meeting more auto enthusiasts .... oh well.

we have our monthly meet up here in the seattle area. we had about 15 nsxes' for our july meet, if your willing to drive up here I'm sure they wouldn't mind you tagging along

Having owned a lot of cars and many enthusaist cars, I know for a fact that generalizing is generally 99% true (in business as well).

I've owned a S2000, it was a pretty good car. But to say NSX drivers are snobs are that my comment was snobish, well, so be it. I'm glad of the dynamic of the NSX owner. Just attend any Honda/Acura event and you know what I'm talking about. Roll up in a NSX and see all the crap from 16 year olds who's only mission in life is to beat a NSX with their 92 civic with 200k miles on it and now hate you for what ever reason. Basicly when you start driving a NSX you become out cast from everyone. The lambo/ferrari meets I goto I'm the "just a cheap honda guy", at the Honda/Acura events i'm the "rich asshole with an overpriced s2000".

Actually the last S2000 owner I meet came up to me and said "you know the NSX is really slow and is a complete waste of money. The s2000 is just as fast and handles just as good. You were really stupid for paying all that money." LOL!

The NSX is in this weird auto twighlight zone, which I'm guessing why most NSX guys stick to themselves.

Actually, I've attended numerous Honda/Acura events with my NSX, including the ITR Expo and several local meets organized through honda-tech. Everyone has been consistently respectful and complimentary towards the NSX.

I've also had nothing but good experiences when chatting with S2000 and ITR owners. Indeed, I don't think I've ever had anyone seriously dis' my car "in real life". It's only online Internet Tough Guys who ever give me crap.

weird, I have never met anyone calling my car slow... (even if they do, that doesn't offend me at all.) In fact my license number is slowv6, and everyone pointing at that and smile.

I'm quite active with the S2k group and they are cool people. Except for a few "younger" snob; they are not that much different from the nsx demographic. (I met some shitty people in S2k group, but I could say the same in different forum and different venue. Wherever you go, you will find some good and bad apples.) but then if you are one bad apple, you will have no problem see more of your kind rather quickly.

A few things to note about NSXPO 2008...

Membership in the NSX Club of America is required to attend. Advance registration (including payment of fees) is required for the social activities in Portland, and to drive in the drivers school at Pacific Raceways near Seattle. NSX Club members are welcome to attend the drivers school at Pacific Raceways as spectators, with no advance registration or additional payment required.

Ownership of an NSX is not required for membership in the NSX Club of America. So any S2000 owner (or Corvette owner, or Camry owner) is welcome to join the club and sign up to attend NSXPO 2008. However, cars in the group photo and student drivers in the drivers school are restricted to NSXs.

Thanks for the info, I am planning to attend.
