I'm a big Star Trek fan, especially the Next Generations.

Amazon has a cool deal right now on:

List price is $69.99 but right now is $26.49 (Daily Deal).

Not bad, and it's in Blu-Ray dics, comes out to be like $6.62 per movie.

I like ST:TNG and Voyager, and I've only been to two Star Trek conventions when I was still in school (I didn't dress up like a nerd either!).

I used to play Star Trek Online over a year ago, but got bored with it once I reached Admiral rank on my first character.

Thanks for the tip on the Blu-Ray set. I'll have to think hard about it. Right now 100% of my disposable income is directed toward NSX stuff.

My wife and I are both Trekkies. She's only into ST:NG, Voyager and DS9. I love them all.

I went to a Star Trek convention in New York in 1975 (+/- one year),
at which I heard talks by Isaac Asimov, Leonard Nimoy, DeForest
Kelley (whose first line was, I'm a doctor not a speechmaker), ... .
I haven't had a strong interest since, but Star Trek was a part of
my childhood and a source of fun for me and for friends of mine.

I know a lot of people like it but I just couldn't get into it. Too much soap opera like drama for me. I am more into the ships, technology, and aliens being the central focus of the story. :biggrin:

DS9 amazing; but TNG still had an edge
Voyager; was crappy at first but did pick up near the end.

Enterprise; i watched all of season 1 but it was obvious the show lost steam and i just lost interest. the final ep of enterprise was TERRIBLE.

the new star trek (jj abrams versions) was killer.

The final episode was indeed terrible, but the rest of season 4 was quite good -- right up there with the best of the other series. It got canceled just when it was getting good, but still four years is a good run for any series. TOS only had three, after all.

I do like Star Trek, and have every episode and every movie on DVD, but I would never admit this on a public forum :biggrin:
