I'm thinking about putting headers on my 93 (don't know which type yet) and am worried that I have to take them off every 2 years to pass the California smog tests. Do any of you (California NSX owners) with headers have trouble passing the test? How about any of you with headers and exhaust?

nope....i have comptech's.
No problem.
I have Comptech Headers & Exhaust & the technician at my "test-only" station didn't even look at them for visual, let alone look for CARB certification. It also had no issues passing the emission test on teh dyno.
I have heard that some inspectors will perform a thorough visual however, so if it's not CARB, you run the risk!

Comptech headers and exhaust as welll and passed with no problems back in June.
I'll add my combo: Comptech header/Taitec exhaust, no problem.
Comptech headers/Finstar exhaust, no problems passing smog
