Planning it for this fall. Wondering your thoughts and suggestions.

I have done 3/4 of it, do some research, you will want to extend your trip! Tons of sweet things to see. If you can, drive up to Copper Harbor on the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula (UP of Michigan) You can also take a day trip out to Isle Royale. Eat at the Harbor Haus http://www.harborhaus.com/ If you time it right, get there Oct 17-19 and catch a few stages of the Pro Rally http://lsprorally.com/

Don't forget the Mackinac Bridge, Soo Locks, Pictured Rocks, (all in the UP) A couple hours out of the way, and on the top of the wrong lake, but worth the trip is the Sleeping Bear Dunes. http://www.sleepingbeardunes.com/ Also check out cities Petoskey, Charlevoix, Traverse City and Bay Harbor.

In WI, check out towns such as Minocqua, Eagle River, Ashland, Bayfield. You know MN already, and I don't know much about the top side of the Lake. I can just help you with WI and MI.

Enjoy

Thanks RP! Ive done most of the UP stuff. Planning a stop in Copper Harbor and a 1 night side trip to Mackinac Island. I think I can valet the car in a garage in St Ignace.

Those northern lower MI towns are great as well but I only have 6 days to complete the trip.

Planned for week of 9/22 in the NSX. 1700 miles total by my calculations.

Stops in:

Thunder Bay, ON
Wawa, ON
Mackinac Island, MI
Copper Harbour, MI
Bayfield, WI
