someone helped me connect the horn with a aftermarket steering wheel 4 months ago. yesterday horn started screaming at all . ( no need to press the button). someone disconnect the horn suddenly. after we tried to plug those wire back, horn doesn't work anymore. is it possible that wire problem behind steering wheel? anyone knows a recommanded shop in South CALI to solve the problem correctly ???

actually glenadle dealer is taking care of it. but they may only open the steering wheel. take a look at wires. if it's not wire problem, they wont take any responsibility.

see if the dealer fixes it.

the horn on an Aftermarket wheel is the same wiring as the stock wheel, there is no magic there.

If they cant fix it, give me a call and i'll run down the electrical problem for you.

happy motoring

Rob

I HAVE THE SAME SIMILAR PROBLEM- aftermarket MOMO and Gruppe M Adaptor. Mine actually would go on when I made a right hand turn and would just start honking. LOL very embarassing. I've become a master at popping the hood and pulling the fuse.

Long story short, I gave up and pulled the horn =( . I know its some type of elec. problem.

Ron98- does the whole wiring have to be redone?

Tony, the service manager in Glendale Acura dealer already let them fixed the problem for me. no charge. their service is pretty excellent and friendly. i think it's a recommanded acura dealer.
Thanks for all the help. yeah it was the wire problem behind steering wheel because someone didn't do a correct way to set wires during installation.

i just took my car back. they fixed the NO HORN problem. but LOL. same thing happened on my car, too. if i turn steering wheel to left until the end, horn will honk automatically.lolz i feel aftermarket stuff is kinda crappy.

i think i will do the same. becoming master at popping hood, and unplug horns. LOL
