Anyone near Raleigh, NC willing to take me for a ride?

Since I am in the market for an NSX, I think it would be a good idea to get a ride in one and have an owner go over the car with me before I take any test drives or seriously consider purchasing one. I am looking at 91-94's, so the primary thing that I would like to see is where the transmission tag is on the car to tell whether or not whatever car I am looking at is in the snap ring range. I have seen a good number of people on here who are in the Raleigh area, so I was hoping that maybe someone would be kind and let me check out there car/take me for a quick spin around the block. If anyone would be willing it would be greatly appreciated.

On Saturday, April 4th, 9am at the Brier Creek Mall - intersection of I-70 and I-540 there will probably be several NSX's, mine included. This is a monthly get together of the Hurricane Chapter of the Porsche Club of America and the Triangle Italian Motorsports Group. This event attracts a variety of special interest car owners and you are likely to see some very special cars there, including several NSX's. Should be no problem getting you the information you need as well as a ride.
Also, you might want to contact a local resource, Steve Gooding - who is a certified NSX technician. He can answer ANY question you might have about the NSX. And you'll certainly want to have him do a Pre-Purchase Inspection of any car you are considering for purchase. he can be reached at [email protected].

I was actually at the one in February in my black RX-7, since my friend was part of that enormous group of S2000's. I saw a couple of NSX's while I was there, but didn't think to talk to anyone about them at the time. So yea, that sounds like a fun thing to do this weekend. Too bad I can't bring my black RX-7 though. It is in the garage needing a new battery which won't be here till next week

I just got home a little while ago from seeing jtower's NSX and all I can say is wow, what a great car. We took a good long ride and chatted for some time afterward. Just wanted to say thanks again for the time and information because it was very helpful. Its good to see such a welcoming community of car enthusiasts.

I haven't purchased one yet, but I did get to ride in jtower's car a couple of weeks ago and checked out/drove one for sale in Hickory last weekend. The other day I also met up with prime member March to look at his car that he is selling (http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/showthread.php?t=120541) and am currently contemplating purchasing it if I can't find another one that is as good in silver.

PS...thanks. I love my rotaries. My '83 runs like a champ and my '93 is a beast. Glad to see another rotary lover on here.
