Hello guys:

Are any of the current turbo setups on the market smog legal in CA? If not, what are you guys doing that are FI out here (non comptech)?

Thanks for the help, need to know this..

LOL I figured. I was just wondering if any of them were in the process of tryiing to get approved etc.

I'm sure I'll figure something or other out when the time comes ;)

I don't think anyone would spend the money to get a Ca Cert. # on an out of production car.

There isn't enough demand for a NSX turbo kit to be CARB certified. NSX's are few and far between. Most guys that get a turbo kit and keep the factory parts, so when the smog test comes around they can convert back to the factory setup or they take there chances and go to a smog shop that doesn't really care.

also what you can do is get the kit ready for install, then wait for the (2) year smog. After successful smog, install turbo kit the next day, if not have an appointment that same day. Good for (2) years, then swap back over. Plus, it gives you (2) years to find someone who can help you with smog if you don't want to swap over.

Probably what's going to happen, I was just shooting in the dark hoping for a prayer.

Thanks all!
