YES. It wont fit 2002 valence.
Yes will not fit an 02+ car unless you modify the tips to fit the narrower valence.
It will however fit a 97 to 01 with the use of some adapters that are avail from SOS, and others or exhaust can fab up as well... I just installed my DT-X + Sos adapters on my 00 all hardware mounting is the same. Fit is good, but OE spring loaded ball joint causes the joint to be too rigid, so needs to be shorter which can easily be fixed with shorter ones.
