I went to watch last time as well, and after about 30 minutes, I borrowed a friend's helmet and gave it a try as well. Its a really safe, non-intimidating environment, where its almost near impossible to do damage to your car (though your tires may be toast if you take lots of laps!). Its just a nice roughly 1 minute (or half that if your skilled enough) course through cones in a flat, parking lot type of area. You aren't racing other cars, just the clock. You may knock a few cones over, but thats pretty much it. Many people spin out here and there when they get too hot in the the turns, but this is not a track you'll probably get out of 2nd gear with. Its good for beginners, and a good introduction to actually feel out what your car is made of...
