I did a search on this and only got some dead URL's.... How hard is it to remove the "A" from the front and rear of an 02+? Does anyone know if its screwed on or glued on? I don't like badges of any sort on my cars and always remove all of them. Not sure I like that big silver "A" in the middle of my taillights.

Anyone remove theirs?

Dental flaws, work your way down slowly.

"waxed" dental floss.

the wax helps glide and cut through the adhesion much much faster and easier.

the dry ones tend to stick and break.
Should have told me that before I pulled my off with my finger nail and bare hand. By the way, you can have my old Type R Red "A" emblem Mr. EVOF575GTC. Just stop by the shop.

Not sure of the 02+ but the 01 and under has two holes in the bumper when you remove the emblem.

Did you need to saw off the prongs to remove the badge? Everyone tells me that there is a clip that is attached behind the bumper and that most likely the prongs need to be sawed off. However, I just realized the owners giving me this guidance does not have an '02+ NSX. With the open "A" emblem, I'm hoping it would be different. Can you shed some light on this?

Thanks,
Ryan

Will the open A cover the holes left behind from the original solid A?

I have a 92 and I want to update to the new style A (open)

What is the part # for the 02+?

I took mine off with some heavy fishing line, like the one to catch a "great white", and I sawed and yanked/broke it off. 1st use a heat gun to loosen up the 3M adhesive.

Ryan the rear one is glued on, the front one has prongs into the front bumper. Removing the front one is no easy task as you will need to fill/paint the holes. I did remove both on mine and like the cleaner look much better.

Thanks TURBO2GO. Did you have the break off the prongs like the '91-'01 owners? The dealer told me that the '02+ does not have clips on the back like the older ones, so you can just pull the whole thing out without breaking out the prongs. I just want to confirm that this is indeed the case.

Ryan

On my '00, they were clips behind the prongs (talking about the front)

I am not 100% sure on this as I had a body shop do this since it would need filling/paint. From what I remember, there were no clips. The prongs were there to make it straight... glue held it on. But don't take this as 100%.

I have a couple of pictures here you can see it with no front badge. Sorry they are cell phone pics in the dark.

Thanks TURBO2GO. I took my badge off with the prongs intact. I don't think there are clips like the '91-'01 models. The dealer could not see it being held on by anything else other than the adhesive for the '02+ models, but their parts diagrams clearly show the clips on the '91-'01 models.

Welcome to the club  .
