As many of you know I had Cody at LoveFab convert my Basch unit to the AEM FIC and was extremely happy. He conservatively street tuned it and finally got it on a Dyno Sunday. He was able to pick up an additional 30 hp and 15 lbs ft torque all while maintaining a safe tune. My question is this. The boost is extremely low until 7000 rpms. Is this normal for the Basch system? I'm attaching Dyno sheets for your review.

as long as your 8000 rpm boost level matches what you expect (6 psi? 7? 8?) then you are getting exactly what you should be. The centrifugal style doesn't hit max boost till 8000 rpm, unlike the ctsc style.

I also have the AEM, and lemme tell you...holy crap that thing is killer!! I'm at 7psi right now (9.5 coming up soon) and at 380 rwhp and 280 rw tq! the car runs literally, with no exaggeration, as if it were stock. it's awesome.

I'm positive if mark had this aem way back when, with competent tuners, he'd still be cranking them out.

I just picked up an AEM for mine, but I'm not sure if I want to actually install the system. My only other transportation is a bike, and in Seattle that's not the best idea.

I have some time to decide, though- I need to do my timing belt before I look at performance upgrades. Until then, the supercharger stays in the box.

Peiserg, the pulley that came with the BBSC was for 5psi, right? I've seen it quoted as 5, 6, and 7, but 5 seems to be the most common number.

iirc the stock pulley is 6 psi. I'm pushing 7-7.5. I love it. 280 rw tq is what...320-330 tq vs stock 224? woohoo! can't wait to hi 9 psi.

I just bought one of the 5 original East Coast BBSC install day cars. around 40K miles on it since the install. Running AEM, 8# pulley, 9:5.1 built motor, dc exhaust. I drove it 750 miles home from Atlanta to chicago saturday. Let me say I was very impressed. I have driven two other NA cars before and they felt like my moddified integra/prelude. This thing is damn fast; should have come like this. I was ready to rip off the sc and go turbo right away, but I have more than I can handle right now. I need to do brakes and suspension before I get any more power. With my last car, A4, I had so much confidence taking fast corners and slalomn manuvers. It did not have enough power to surpass its abilities unlike how my nsx felt. I did not not feel very confident with the nsx on my ride home. It felt floaty at high speed lane changes and under braking. I am going to get konis and sway bars for now, have h/r springs, and do a few track days to get a feel for the cars limits. Then after big brakes I and when I am used to the 350hp/or so, I will do the turbo setup and maybe shoot for 600 at the most I think. I don't know how you can even shift fast enough without a sequential with horsepower levels twice mine. I do like how it feels very tame at low rpm and turns into a beast when you really get into it. It doesn't bother me making most of the power up high as I like to drive my hondas at high rpm. Just my impressions, I have only had the car for a day though.

I was getting pretty impressive torque and hp when i tuned mine, mustang dyno. The low end torque was good enough for the setup(5 speed close gear) match with an awesome top end. pretty good at just 7.7 psi.(9psi Pulley). I am setting up for 13 psi soon and shooting for 5 plus on tap.

I will have the 9 psi pulley for sale soon.

Wow, what else is done with your setup? There's got to more to be pulling out that kind of HP with that much boost. Also when you get that pulley out PM me, I've got bigger injectors sitting here, and I'm willing to go for more boost and a retune ;)
I didnt use intercooler, instead I ran methanol at 4 psi. I was still on cats when I dynotune the clone. Other than that, the motor is bone stock on AEM.
Its great with this shifter too....
