Hello, every since I replaced my factory battery with an Optima battery, the negative cable will not tighten down fully. You can still wiggle the negative cable loose even after the negative cable is fully tightened down. Right now, I have some copper wire wrapped around the negative post to tighten it. Anyone every have this problem before.

On a late model car, the connector at the end of the battery cable consists of a loop portion and a straight portion. If the straight portion is deformed (e.g., as a result of initial battery installation/over-tightening), the result is that circumference of the loop becomes effectively larger. Straighten the bent portion and it should tighten down as normal (unless your new battery post is smaller diameter than spec).
