don't know if these pics will post.
This is the latest and greatest version of my bbsc. I've run it since 16,700 miles (now about 54000 miles).
Ran 6.5 psi for 20,000 miles. the added aftercooler and turned up boost to 7.5 psi for another 17000 miles or so.
Now I've got a brand new (much nicer looking) larger surface area FM heat exchanger. It's no longer ghetto fabulous. Now it looks, on close inspection, as if the car were sold this way straight from acura!
The shot into the front hatch of the car shows two things different from stock.. the water resovoir for my aftercooler (middle...aluminum), and in front of that, towards the passenger side, is a mysterious black container with a red cap. It holds about a gallon of 100% methanol.
This is an Alkycontrol system, which is plumbed into the aftercooler (see the engine shot...notice the nozzle in my aftercooler). It sprays at WOT under a certain amount of boost.
installation of everything looks top notch. kudos to senor basch for a killer install. when i say looks like it came from the factory, I'm not kidding!
Next step, within the next two weeks, is to go to 9 psi (max recommended by mark basch with current setup), and swap out my trusty (heh!) SSbox for the AEM FIC. If the kit was sold like this (inc. aem i mean) I'm sure he'd be selling them even today.
Dyno graphs to follow.
Gentlemen,
I bid you well.
Long live the boost. And my motor.
BTW, if the pics don't post, or are too small, someone with more skill than I, please go to www.flipdrive.com/maskedmilkman and post the appropriate pics. thanks!!
