Got the compressor on, pulley was a tad smaller which required a shorter belt but works fine. Are there any drawbacks to this other than the compressor spinning faster? It's quiet/blows cold.
In 1997, with the introduction of the tubular exhaust headers, Honda changed the designs of the a/c clutch and of the a/c compressor mounting bracket. If you installed a new clutch, it would be good to make sure you are using it with the correct compressor bracket - otherwise your pulleys will not be aligned. Everything aligns perfectly. Pulley is just a tad smaller which will naturally turn faster {probably not much]. Actually blows noticeably colder than original unit which leads me to believe was getting weak {91,000} although it did work well. Of course I'm running R12 still.
