How about this?

You can also just use ice, much cheaper and readily more accessible than the computer spray.

You can also get a 3M Wax and Adhesive remover spray can from wal-mart. It is in a blue can, usually locked-up where the car touch up paint is. This thing works wonders for a number of applications. It's safe on most paint. But it does smell a bit. Works better than GOO gone or OOPS.

The computer spray is better because you don't leave a residue behind and it doesn't get everything wet. Plus you can get the gum down below freezing which ice cannot do.

There is also nothing more fun than killing insects by freezing them and torturing your friends as well. This month we are blessed with hoards of clumsy junebugs that like nothing more than to cool down before crashing into the fluorescent lights.

Bwahahahaha!

I have used peanut butter when my kids have fallen asleep with gum and it falls out into their hair, but on carpet? It seems like the oils would be left behind.
