Reminds me of......

Yup thats pretty much the norm around hear if you ride with the kids from my town. I got myself jammed up when I upgraded to a Literbike and started hanging with the stunt crowd. I sold my GSX-R a while ago and picked up a T-rex to fill its void, and don't ride with anyone but a few select friends now.

Unless it's modified, chances are his bike can't even do 193 mph. Most are limited to below that and it takes a while to get up to speed. Even tougher in the rain, with slower-moving traffic and poor grip and visibility.

193 is for sissies.

And the balls of steel award goes to Hugh!

Consolation prize is entrance to the gates of hell with one mistake at that speed....:cool:

Satan says lets all give a warm welcome to Hugh! Inserts game show theme song from the price is right....

:eek::biggrin:

I was more interested in the GPS in that photo :). Talk about OLD SCHOOL. That was the first GPS I ever owned. I still have it in my basement somewhere. That came out circa 2000.

beckertb {Ben} is a former member here and has been clocked at 254 mph at the texas mile a few years back on his, correction, one of his street turbo Busa's.:rolleyes: Bens got toys.:wink:

Who in their right mind would modify a high performance vehicle for even higher performance? :biggrin:

Fair enough but again, it's not just a simple exhaust and tune away from hitting 193 mph. That takes a chunk of extra power, lots of road and big balls. Most guys are too smart or lack the third item to really get moving this fast.

Not so much on todays bikes. But lots of road and big balls is a must. My 04 GSX-R would hit 175ish before running out of steam. A gear ratio change could net 190mph I bet without any issues. Other then melting your tires at that speed for any length of time.

The Suzuki Hayabusa is capable with just a tune to drop the top speed limiter.
cycle world reported 188-194mph top speed.

Regardless it is dumb. But incredible to experience once. Not something I would do on a regular basis. Unless you like having you insides spread over a mile of pavement.
