Ordered new from SOS - Billstein HD dampers with the 2-position perch, I also had a friend machine .5" rings that sit under the perch to further lower the car with the Tanabe springs with OEM 16/17 wheels. When I put the Tanabe's on, the low perch was not low enough for my taste, thus the rings were added. The machined rings slide right off so you can just run the dampers as they were out of the box if you like. I used the dampers, first with some 91-93 springs I found (which turned out to have settled), then with the Tanabe's. Used for 3 track weekends then moved up to KW V3's. Not much actual road use-maybe 5,000mi. on them. The Tanabe spring rates are similar to that of an NSX type-S. For less than the price of a new set of Billsteins you get spirngs, a 3rd lowering position, and not very used dampers. Mild but effective upgrade for worn out OEM shocks.
