Anybody here likes to wear them? They are not the most fashionable but for sure are comfortible. I'm trying to find something online but not sure where would be the best place to buy them with good price. Anyone?

I was at a DSW but like you said their stock in very limited.

Yeah I'm always confused with their sizes too, normally I wear size 9 shoes but with Birkenstocks I wear size 40 which translates to 7 or 7 and 1/2 which is kind of weird.

I'll go check out the Great Mall to see if any store carries them.

I want to try the soft footbed, the reviews are excellent.

I wear the Altons in brown for comfort and also the Birki Active in the kitchen.

They aren't darn pretty....but they are pretty darn comfortable!

Try a pair of Naot Santa Barbara's. You will love them.

They look very much like Birkenstocks, what store carries them?

I've heard very good things about Naot's as well. Never owned them personally though.

Dankso are supposed to be very comfortable as well, if you are into clog style shoes. My wife...who loves her Birkenstocks...loves her Dankso as well. Once again, I have no personal experience with them. (if you can't tell...I don't wear open toed sandals....don't like it)

I have been wearing them for 23 years. I don't wear socks or own any regular shoes. The only time I'm forced to wear sox is for special occasions, and even with that, I still wear my birks.

Very comfortable, but there are some maintenance required.

Where do you usually buy them and what kind of maintenance you need?

I thought these are fairly low maintenance shoes because I never really need to do anything.

I buy them on ebay or Amazon. I wear mostly Birk Arizona model.

The problem with Birk is that it is leather, so it will dry out your skin. you'll have to condition your feet with lotion or E oil if you don't plan on wearing sox. Also if you have sweaty feet, it will stink when the weather is hot. I do wash my Birks with warm water from time to time. Each birks last me about a year, that is with me wearing them everyday as my regular shoes. I usually keep two pairs, one brand new in the box until it is time to replace the old.

I like the Arizonas as well. I usually have a pair of suede and a pair of just regular leather.

Sounds like you like to wear comfortible shoes all year long, a strong indication of a Capricorn!
