Side canards were shaved & the lower lip flattened to remove unsightly original curve
The guess work is already done for a 02 conversion, just needs repairs. A good body shop can fix it.

That is not a crack at the bottom of the pic its just simply dust wiped of with a finger.
Type R hood for 02 lights clear coat worn out, good if you want to paint it or re-clear coat it, excellent fit. VIS brand $500
