Bridgestone RE050A 275/35/18 $120 each - NEW

That is a Good Deal.

I have pole positions now and like them except for the fact when they let go, they do so suddenly without much feel. I've had my car sideways a couple of times where I was tracking good and then I am drifting...just kept the accelerator down and steered into it and luckily didn't spin. I was left wondering  if the roads were wet or something slick on the pavement, but both times were dry conditions.

I am still researching what tire I want to replace them with.

I have bought 3 sets of tires from them with fast shipping and an easy transaction. All tires were brand new with the labels still on them and with absolutely no problems.

Sorry. I did share it with people at XPO.

Re: Bridgestone RE050A 275/35/18 $120 each - NEW; NOT POLE POSITION

I guess it's a good deal for those that need half decent tires, but with the Tire Rack ranking them #8, I'll pass...I wish it was the Pole Postion version, I'd be all over it.

I thought that the RE050A IS the new Pole Position equivalent. The tread pattern and rubber compound are nearly identical. I have S03s on the front and RE050s on the back.

They are different tires. See this link: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/bridgestone/bridston.jsp

There is RE050, RE050A, RE050A Pole Position, RE050 RFT, RE050A II RFT, RE050A Scuderia, etc.

I think pole position starts out with a 240UTA rating and softens to a 140UTA when it wears down.

The non-pole position ones starts and stays at 140UTA, so it's always ready to give u a smile on ur face or cry (too much G forces = oil starvation)

What is the catch? Just wondering how can they sell them for half of Tirerack?

Do they sell them in 215/40/17 also?

I got my tracking number too.

There is no catch.

Look at their positive feedback.

U should ask them if they have other sizes. Of course u can do a simple search by copying and pasting that size in the Motors section.

Bottom Line is that there is no risk and the price is dam good.

Go figure.

I just bought two rears from the same guys (Big O's Tires) off eBay as well at the same price ($120 each).

I did call their store to ask if they can get 215/40/17s but he told me Tire Rack would have the best price for these. He told me he buys the 275/35/18 in quantities of 900+ at a time so that is why he is able to sell them so cheap but he can't buy a lot of other sizes in that kind of quantity since it's a big investment.
