Bump in the trunk?? 2000 vs 1992...

I have noticed that there is a slight difference in the trunk of my former 1992 compared to my newer 2000 (targa if relevant). There appears to be a slight 'bump' or raised area on the left hand side. Basically as if the trunk is convex from front to back just a bit. Is that normal? Are there differences in the trunks a bit.....or do I have a former rear end hit. All the panels are stamped with the VIN but I thought I would ask.

I have a 97 targa and don't see a hump anywhere. I believe the trunks are all the same.

This could mean something is going on that I don't want to know about....

pull out all the carpet and tools and then pull out the foam to see if the chassis / frame is warped..... :redface:

I did actually. It's a subtle bump. All the panels are the correct vin also. The was definitely hit from the side previously. Tough to confirm.
