I think it's a shame we have so few active regional club websites. The only two official ones I know of that are still up are www.nsxflorida.com and northwest.nsxca.org

Mohit's old "official" website seems to have been abandoned www.mcconcept.com/nsx and Rich's site seems to be the place to go for current info www.nsxuppereast.com - shouldn't nsxuppereast be the new "official" site? Can someone coordinate with Mohit to transfer the stuff from his old site to Rich's site and shut down the old site to avoid confusion?

Then there are regions with no website at all (at least not that I know of) such as: southcentral, midwest, southeast, southwest. That is pretty sad in my humble opinion. Let's get some volunteers going folks!

If it's official, the club should link to it from the main nsxca.com website.

Basically I'm just saying someone needs to step in and fix the regional site situation:

* Coordinate the setup of official sites for all the regions

* Make sure the regional sites are linked from the main nsxca.com site and included in any other NSXCA material about the regions (welcome packet, listed in the NSX Driver magazine, etc.)

* Make sure the sites stay updated

It doesn't have to be anything fancy.. A Word document saved as HTML would at least be a good start.

Good point Lud, I'll take it up with the NSXCA Board. The regional website should be listed in NSX Driver at least.
Rich Hutte, who is constantly snow-bound in New Hampshire, does a great job keeping the Northeast site (www.nsxupperseast.com) up to date and informative. All of our(NSXCA /NE)
events are posted on this site and Rich's efforts have been extremely benefical to all Northeast members.

That depends on someone volunteering to set up and maintain a website for each region. Some regions and chapters have people who have stepped forward and are handling this. Some don't.

We would be happy to accept any volunteer who is willing to set up a website for any region or chapter that does not already have one. Lud, would you like to be the webmaster for a Southeast Region website?

The region and chapter websites are linked from the "contacts" part of the main NSX Club website. There is a link to the current website for the Northeast Region.

The coordinator could be in charge of finding volunteers or fill in when a region does not have a volunteer. All it takes is some time and very basic computer skills (heck you can export Word as HTML if it comes down to it), as the club already has a server and hosting.

This website is my contribution and I have all I can do to try to keep up with it. I am suggesting that some other people volunteer their time as well, hence the title of this topic.

I didn't see that before, I was looking under the "regions" section where none of the websites are listed. I think it would probably make sense to list them on the "regions" page as well..

Also, I see the southwest website is still linked from the contacts page even though it has been offline for months.

Lud will you donate server space for these sites? Or NSXCA (Ken) will you donate space? Time and creativity are free but I don't have a place to put anything.

The club can provide space for the regional websites. However, right now we're trying to find a new hosting site for the club (you may have noticed that the main site is currently down) so we need to get that resolved first.
