Yes, you can replace it. It has taken me less than 30 min. It is secured with glue (easy to remove), staples, and plastic clips. You can find new carpeting from Acura (Tracy from Gunn Acura is cheapest) or salvage yards (see www.nsxprime.com/toc.htm for a listing of discount part sources).
I've seen a job done on an NSX that used non-factory carpeting. Looked very lame. Lots of curves in the NSX carpeting, although one could be removed to get a template done.
Originally posted by RyRy210: If I was to change the carpeting, would this be a dealer project, or would this be a body shop project? Kind of a stupid question. Thanks in advance.
Not a stupid question, but the answer is neither. Try an upholstery shop, they tend to take on special projects and will work on many different items, vehicle or not. The same local upholstery shop fixed a cloth tear in my wife’s trunk and vinyl on my boat.

I expect a good stereo shop might be the place to go. They remove and replace car interiors all day long. Labor is usually less exepensive than at a dealer, too.
Holy crap!!!!!! The factory makes an ivory trunk mat??????!!!!!!!! I have an Acura store and didn't even know that, never even checked assuming that there would be no way.. I'll order it tomorrow.. wonder how hard it'll be to get...hmmm. Thanks NSXtasy!
