Canadian Forum Wanted!!! Please post your approval!

Please post your interest for a Canadian forum under the heading of:
NSX Prime Regional Message Forums (limited region-related off-topic OK)
There are many reasons for us Canadians to be able to communicate together in one place. And of course everyone else is welcome. Actually one reason would be to locate someone in a certain area to help with buying parts, or for Vacation travel plans, or to meet someone up in Canada while on business. I can see everyone looking to come to Edmonton is going to PM me to stay at my house!
It is easier for us to buy, sell, ship inside Canada.
We all have a friend in another city who can beat up someone if they dont ship us what they sell us!
Freight is cheaper, there is no duty, no customs fees, no taxes.
We can get to know each other as well. And perhaps spur some meet interest!
There are many other reasons but I'm brain dead right now.
All in all It would be a great thing for all of us!
Please respond with a "YES" or more than that If you would like!

Hi guys

A while back, Canadians were set up within the Pacific NW forum. It was later broken out to put Eastern Canada (ie. Ontario and east) into the Northeastern forum and keep Western Canada in the PNW. The rationale at the time was to place people together for the reasons you describe... setting up events, meets, or discussion about regional vendors/dealers/etc.

You bring up a good point about Canadian vendors (ie mail order). If they're not prominent on the internet, most of us would never know they are there. Not sure where this type of topic would best fit tho.

Guess I figure that the main topics you're looking for are best covered in the existing regional forums. (I know, boo, hiss ). I don't see a need for a separate forum and actually think making one would result in less discussion in the cross-border groups in each end of Canada. eg. Vancouverites talking to Seattle folks, Ontario people talking with people in NY, etc. Just my 2 bits.

I guess it would be dependant on how many active people from Canda use this board...

Having a marketplace stating item from Canada would be nice though..Like it doesn't have to be a seperate topic just a title or something in their description
I have for one have backed out on many purchases due unfriendly exchange rates and border fees..

It would be great to have a Canadian specific, but there would need to be enough community here in Canada and on this board. I find myself going state side for aftermarket parts, and I'll tell you not only does the exchange rate kill us here, but duty charges everytime something crosses over from US to CND.

We do have a bit of community here in the Toronto area where meets are taking place, as well as other events. If anyone is interested please PM me and I can forward you to the appropiate persons.

I just saw his car this afternoon at a show in Quebec.

Crazy car, it was built by tapp auto in ottawa.

Great idea Trev! ... "Yes" ... I for one would certainly like to see a Canadian Forum. To get things roling...anyone out there know where I can pick up a used (but not too used) ABS system? I specifically need a modulator and pump. The local Acura dealer has found what I need but wants $2200!
