I know that CART / Champ Car had a custom NSX pace car back around 2001, but I cannot find ANY pictures of it, or any information on the car. Does anyone on here know anything about this car, or have any pictures of it? I would have thought that something this unique would have at least some information about it on an NSX website, but I have yet to find anything. Not even a search of Google produced any results. So if anyone here can help me find out more about this car, and where it is now, I would greatly appreciate it. I know it was in an accident, but I do not know if it was ever repaired. Thank you in advance for your help!

I have pics from the CART race in '95 at New Hampshire of the NSX pace car & the Diablo & others, but no scanner.

But no photos...:frown:

I want to see this.

I was looking through all my NSX memorabilia (yes, I still have it all even though I don't have an NSX anymore) and found this. Don't know from where or when I got this but this is all that I have about the the CART NSX Pace Car.

Thank you! There is one that is Long Beach Blue Pearl that I am primarily looking for. Very much appreciated though. Any pace car content is great! :)

If I recall correctly, one such red NSX pace car used at Laguna Seca hit the outside wall on turn 4 at Laguna Seca. The guy said he didn't paint that wall for a while as a reminder ............ this was a few years ago, around early 200X

Mitch,

I last saw the Long Beach Pace car you are refering to at the Streets of Vancouver race in the summer of 2001, after our annual Whister drive that year.

As I recall, that car had since been sold by CART. It had a roll bar and a few safety bolt-ons in it, and upgraded suspension at the time of sale.

Cool. Do you have pictures of it though? This is like trying to find pictures of Big Foot. :frown:

Mitch, look what I found on the CART web site... of all places... pictures of the NSX-T pace car in any size you want and an article on the crew that maintained it.

I will trade for your big foot...

Anyone have any clue what those wheels are????

I remember seeing the car at Road America many years ago. Pretty sure it had a BBK-Brembo's I believe and the Rim's were Simmons.

Are we talking about the red car with the red wheels, or the blue car with the black wheels? The black wheels are Simmons for sure. I have them in the garage. :)
