Caused an accident today

I was in stop and go traffic. Two guys in a Ranger kept looking over at my car. The pickup in front of them stopped, and they didn't. Bang!

I feel a bit guilty. I'm always looking around when I drive too. It could have been me.

One thing I've noticed about having a flamboyant, red car: people are always aware of you. My car has no door dings, and people don't make careless moves around me while on the roads.

I've often seen cars that have been rear-ended at stop lights/signs or entrance ramps on highways and think " there but for the Grace of God go I " My car is not a daily driver, so I definitely avoid any rush hour traffic. Mornings are worse with women putting on makeup and people reading their Wall Street Journals. I knew a guy on a motorcycle who was rear-ended by a woman changing her kid's diaper. Thank God the kid wasn't hurt.

Yea, same thing happened to me after I first got my NSX. The guy was just staring at my car (just like I would have been doing if I was him) and I watched him crash his toyota into the back of a mini-van as I went by. I felt pretty bad for the guy too!

Don't count on it. If we pull up along side a truck of any size, including an SUV, they can't see us, we're too low!

BE CAREFUL in an intersection that has on coming traffic turning left in front of you. If there is a car in your lane in front of you blocking the oncoming traffics veiw. The NSX sits so low that I am sure it can't be seen by that person turning. Just an theory that I have from this happening about 5 times today.
