Hi, I burned an album to a CD-RW and for some reason the oem cd changer will not read it. My old CD-Rs read with no problem. I'm using CDBurnerXP to burn the album to the CD-RW. Anyone else having issues?

NSX uses old technology, most CD players back in the day did not recognize CD-RW discs, theres no reason for us to believe Honda ever updated the firmware.

Also, did you close the session on your CDRW? Meaning you can't reuse it. If you left it in a "Rewritable" state, that could be another reason why the old car system can't read it.

I have never tried a CDRW in an OEM NSX CD Changer, so I am just going off what I know about CDRWs in automotive CD decks. From an OEM aspect, my 99 GSR wouldnt play CDRWs either.

The OEM CD player also didn't support .mp3 format which might also be your issue. Ten years ago, the best advice from the NSX community was to replace the OEM unit with an Alpine S634 which gives you a capacity of probably something in the order of 1000 songs .. but these days, I think you'd be much better served to get the iPOD interface from SOS (and maybe others) which connects into the OEM factory CD wiring. There may be similar Bluetooth options.

CD-RW will not work. try a cd-r and if it doesnt work then try a different brand of blank cd's IE. sony vs idx vs teac i did this till I found which works.
