Center Council Storage Box Compatibility.

I searched some but did not find the answer.

Question: What changes were made and what is the compatibility between years for the center counsel storage box?

I much preferred my former 1992's storage box to my 2000's. I was looking to buy a pre-cup holder version but here they might not be compatible.

Any one know?

The center speaker bulkhead changed when the armrest with the cup holder started.

I see. Can it be altered easily or basically I should stick with what I got?

If you can get both parts you will be good if not then don't mess with it.
