Hi All,

This morning on my way to work my CEL came on. Nothing out of the ordinary as the car was running fine as the Oil and Engine temps were the same. Got to the office and checked the oil level to be sure and it was at the second marker.

Ran to my mates shop at lunch and shorted the service connector and got the following error code:

CEL Flashed 9 times
ABS Flashed 6 times

What error code is that? I checked the Trouble Shoot Codes section in the WIKI and couldn't determine what error it was. Do I need the service manual to figure this out?

I turned off the ignition, removed the paperclip, and pulled the clock fuse. Put the fuse back in and started the car up - no CEL.

I drove back to work with no issues and no CEL...

CEL Flashed 9 times
ABS Flashed 6 times

Could you divide the flashes in short and long ones? A series of 9 flashes can be any combination of long and short flashes, starting with the long ones first like L-L-L-L-S-S-S-S-S which is error 4-5.

No...the CEL isn't on anymore.

But when I did it I was able to count the CEL slowly 9 flashes while the ABS flashed 6 times rapidly.

So....while the CEL was at say its second flash the ABS started to flash 6 times rapidly.

If the CEL comes back I'll try it again.

find someone with an obd-2 scanner/reader much nicer than counting criptic flashes.

I believe it's a color code. Your NSX wants you to paint it Silverstone!:)

Had mine come on after I had washed the car and had driven it for around 10 minutes...it did that a couple of times...8 months later I had 3 hung valves...lol...engine is fine...just goes to show that you never know what it is...your beauty has very low miles so I assume that it is something very minor. Heres a question...could sand in the air be an issue? Probably a dumb notion:redface:

Dam
