I disabled my vvis for turbo application. It seems to me that VVIS works with vac and when vac drops closer to 0 it lets the plate open and under boost it locks the plate therefore starving it of air a tad. My question is If i run a check valve between hose #3 will it function and let the bigger stacks kick in under boost?

I did plug it... My question is, if I use a checkbalve will the plate open under boost since the checkvalve restricks boost and only allows vac

No it won't work. With the check valve one way, once the butterfly opened, it'll stay open, or if you reversed the check valve the other way, the butterfly won't open at all after closing upon start-up.

:D

ok.. the plate opens when vac gets closer to 0, once boost is generated doesn't that boost push close the gate? on a one way it allows vac and no boost penetration.

No... vacuum is negative pressure (sucking), 0psi (or 1 atmosphere) is no pressure at all, and boost is positive pressure, so the butterfly valve will remain open.

ie: <--- -21in/hg (idle) ... -10in/hg (part throttle) ... 0psi (WOT) .... 5psi (boost) --->
