I was checking out some local cruises/shows and found a couple that generally feature old American iron, but have some upcoming shows featuring Japanese/imports. I might try to make them if anyone else is interested in joining, both in the NW burbs, this Thursday evening in Barrington, and another next Wednesday in Cary. Links to the events below.

The open top metallic red car was at rise and drive in May.

Which dealer brought the black NSX.

Rise and drive today was thinly attended. I did get a lot of questions and discussion about my 2017. It was also great to meet the police officer who has a 92 and attended cars and cops.

I went to Rise and Drive last month and was the only NSX there. Too bad I missed this one.

I missed last month as it looked like rain that day (but didn't so I whiffed).

I owner of CCG was super nice and gave me 2 spaces. We had a nice conversation as well.

The most common question I get is did I own a Gen 1. The question has become some common that I just say no after I hear the word "did" spoken.

Many of the folks with Gen 2 cars have a Gen 1 in the garage or previously owned one (or more), so asking about if I had a Gen 1 is a natural question.

Hopefully some of the local folks can get together again prior to NSXPO.

Next Thursday, on July 13th there will be a JDM Chicago meet hosted by our fellow NSX owner Ginash, Synth19 here on Prime. We will be in the same parking lot so let's meet at our usual spot at 7 and display our cars together at the bigger party.

What do you guys think?

Just to clarify, the jdmchicago meet will be at the Chic-fil-a parking lot next door. We don't start until 730 pm, but like Paul said.. how about all the nsx guys get there at 7pm?

I also arranged this with the management. Mention you are there for the "car show," and they will up-size your drink and fries for free. :smile:

I'm surprised by how plain the gauge cluster is (around 3:50) compared to the rest of the car. Looks like a single piece of plastic with no gauge surrounds.
