Chicago people w/ BMW knowldge

I need your help. I am strongly leaning towards looking at a 95 M3 in Northern Ill. near the Wisconsin border. I know a bit about cars, but I would like to take a more knowledgeable and less emotionally involved person w/ me on saturday. Anyone around that can lend a hand?

Have it inspected by a professional with experience with BMWs. There are several BMW dealers in the northern suburbs of Chicago, and Rauch Automotive in Wauconda and the Little Car Shop in Milwaukee are both independents with extensive BMW experience.

Have you ever owned an E36 M3 before? There are quite a few specific items you need to look at that routinely fail on those cars that can add up quickly. Now, if those are taken care of, you will have one heck of a great car to drive! The E36 M3 is probably one of the most fun vehicles I have ever driven.

never owned one, but would like to. However, the milage on this one ha sme at odds a bit, and I think I would be better served selling my car on the private market, and then picking up an M3 I am more comfortable with.
