Coilover Install on Sunday 4/17 - after the Sat. Acurazine drive

Me and Yawwn will be installing a set of coilovers to my NSX on Sunday morning in my uncle's shop. Anyone is welcome to stop by, give advice, watch or work on your car if you like. The shop has a full lift and ALL the tools. It's located on the border of Oakland and Berkeley.

Here's the address:
Yao's Auto
6335 San Pablo Ave.
Oakland, 94608

What time, Shane?

hey doc, we are starting around 10:30am. it's most likely going to take up the whole afternoon. do u have time to swing by? it'll be great if u can make it!

hi steve,

nope, not that interested in the exact number the engine makes, i just see what Romeo's or someone who's doing the pull, mine's around there, so is yours. probably few more with the cantrell. did u got the CAI on the group buy or from a member? i think CAI is my last mod. thinking of just make my own CAI if i couldn't find one. ($300 for a plastic is a bit much even for 6 HP gain)

I'm going to try to drop by. I've had my Tein susp. in the garage for months and have been too lazy to install. Putting it off because I've heard so much about the difficulty in getting out the rear susp. without damaging the axle boot. I'd like to see first-hand just how hard it is. It'll also be nice to meet a few local owners.

I"m on-call this whole week/weekend :( I"m required to be 15 minutes from work or home. Next time!

That's why i'm missing out all the fun this Saturday event, etc.

heya shane,

your not going to the dyno event?
Actually, the drive is on Saturday the 16th. The coilover date is Sunday the 17th. Or did I get it mixed up?
I am debating if I should join in since I currently have Bilsteins on lower perches with stock springs on my car. I like the drop and the ride but I believe that since the springs are soft and the perches are low, the car can bottom out easier. I have a set of Eibachs that I am contemplating on installing with the Bilsteins on high perches. Am I making any sense?

Steve, you are absolutely right, i'm planning to do the coilovers on Sunday morning. i'll be getting up @ 7am on Sat. for the Acurazine drive with the guys. are you going to be up for Sat @ stonestown? you are from the city man!

Regarding the spring w/ bilsteins, i would think the Eibachs with higher perches would be better because there's more travel distance for the spring.

so far for Sunday @ Yao's
