Concorso Italiano

I plan to fly into Seattle to attend this event. I hope to bum a ride from someone near the airport that wouldn't mind having me tag along. No NSX this time.

Hey I'm going to try and see if I can make it. I'll put my car in the coral if only for parking purposes

.

How I get there depends on when my son has to be at the college in TX. We may make it a road trip with his car and my NSX if the dates work.

Otherwise I'll drive down from Portland. Then again if the dates are a problem I may be in TX.

I should know pretty soon what the deal is going to be.

Hal,
The corral price (with 2 people attending) is actually a better price than regular admission. And we talked about some kind of event/sponsorship for this year's corral as well.
See you there!

I went on the second "Car Guy Tour" which was through the Concorso Italiano club. This was by far the best trip that I haveever gone on. The trip was founded and organized by Frank Mandarano. I think there is information about the tour online. I highly recommend this trip to anyone who is an automobile enthusiast.

Just a little FYI related to the car show.

Crap!!!! the concorso site has been hacked! What in the hell does that have to anything related to their cause!

Other Events planned ?

Am considering going to this event as a spectator; do folks have other events planned (e.g., Monterey Historics at Laguna Seca, dinners and/or drives) ?? Also, where are folks staying?

Thanks

There are a few events that weekend as you mentioned. One of them that some of us participated in was a drive through Monterey and the 17 mile drive following the Concorso. It was pretty fun, and there was a barbecue afterward.
I will probably attend the historics as a freind of mine owns Colin Chapman's old Lotus and will race that weekend.
As far as staying there, since I live in the Bay Area, I will probably commute. But make reservations early if you plan to stay! The whole town books up pretty quickly.
