Are most of you doing this at 36 months? Im just at 36 months and 10k miles. Thinking maybe I should do it.

I know the coolant in my 05 is 5yr/60mo stuff (I think!) so just wondering what you guys are doing.

I'd try to do it at least once a year. Use nothing less than the Honda Type 2 Coolant.

With that said, advances in the coolant since the NSX came out might be ok to run it longer than the standard 2/3 year manual interval....

You can always do a coolant test to see if it's too early or late. This is a significant maintenance item - most overheating issues are because of coolant, the AF + chemicals lubricates the water pump, minimizes corrosion etc...

At least once a year? Maybe if you were doing regular cross country trips.

I think thats way excessive.

your coolant is still good for 1-2 more years. but do change your brake fluid and tranny fluid. My 05 has the same miles as yours.

Just changed the brake/ABS fluid. I need to do the Tranny. Did you use the OEM fluids for that?

I need to search and see if its a do it yourself job like an oil change.

Use the new Honda "white cap" fluid. It works great. My car was making a whining sound when in gear with the redline fluid and is now much quieter with the new Honda Fluid. Also, make sure to replace the crush washer when you do the flush and if you do it yourself, you'll need a really long funnel.

I heard somewhere that coolant can begin to deteriorate some components (aluminum?) after two or more years. It's cheap insurance to change it.

Problem is I don't trust my local dealer to do it and I think its beyond my capabilities.
