Have had an intermittent coolant leak for about a year now, sometimes I find a couple of drops of blue coolant on the floor, other times I don't notice it for a month.
The back of the engine/gearbox/exhaust is always dirty though.
I am not really worried about it actually, there is no power loss, no smoke, engine oil looks perfectly normal ...
Also according to this site having a bad head gasket is quite rare.
And the location of the leak is quite close to the cap with gasket close on the back of the engine, so I was hoping to find the leak there
Last weekend I decided to investigate, ordered a head gasket tester and a coolant system pressure tester.
The head gasket tester remained perfectly blue, as to be expected.
With the pressure tester it took about 30 min before I found the leak ... and it seems I got "lucky", it's the head gasket!
Leak is located just above the cap, next to the blue dot (see pictures below), only positive news is that it's an external leak...
NSX is a 92 with about 55k km/34k miles.
