Well ive had a crx hf for probably same amount of time as my nsx. I currently use my crx as a daily driver to school and anywhere else basically and the nsx as a weekend car. The only thing that was great about the crx was it saved gas and i didnt ever have to worry about parking. Although i hated how it had around 60 hp! So recently i got a engine swap for the crx and dropped a B16A in it, and now it is 156.7 whp. Sure its a big difference but i feel like i should have went to a b18 and now regreting spending all the money for a engine with little torque. Although i am content with the engine it does feel like a brand new car with the engine and coilovers but i just expected more. I am planning to maybe auto-x the car just for fun to get some experience before i try anything on the nsx. Well i am pretty new to engine swaps and i wanted to know if anyone else in the nsx community has done anything similar and any suggestion i can do to the crx?

drop the B16, buy the B18, take the head off the 16 and put it on the shortblock of the 18... You get the high rev of the 16 and the torque of the 18 (lsvtec). It's not that hard if you're mechanically inclined... friend of mine used to run that combo with a turbo and ran it around as his daily.

Thanks a lot guys...

eh im really regret going with the b16. This is what i get for not really researching. Well hopefully in the future i can do the b18 block and b16 head

B16 crx is plenty fine, in a HF it can be quick! A friend of mine had a DX crx with a JDM b16 with type -r cams/bolt ons/chipepd ecu, really fast. Also I had another friend with a stock jdm b16 with exhaust on a 50 shot of zex, I was with him at the track I think he ran low 13's?

I had 2 b16 cars
94 civic cx with a built b16 12:1 (high 13 sec car)
2000 civic si (current car)

Right now in my civic Im thinking about going B20 (CRV) block with my b16 head and built the head/block, good for about 240ish whp. b20 blocks are cheap, and http://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1569878 sell pistons for it, I plan to use stock rods, with some APR bolts. In the head I plan to get all the skunk2 goodies, ecu hondata s2000

Lighten Up!

There's nothing wrong with the B16 - now you have to remove weight! The HF is already the lightest version of the vehicle so you have a head start. Time to throw out the windows (get Lexan) and all interior trim. Then scrape off the black tar coating the entire inside. Maybe throw out the bumpers, A/C, heater core etc. depending on how hard core you want to be. And who needs a passenger seat?

Seriously do you know what your car weighs? I got mine down to 1700 pounds but still had A/C which is a must in Atlanta summers.
