I was looking into the Cartech turbo and was surprised as their number listed on the website is never answered when I called......
Anyone know about this company and what is up?
What about other viable FI options now.

i am selling a turbo system right now... just waiting for the ad to be approved my the MODS i guess....

$5500 bucks...good for 400-500 hp. all you will need is an aem and injectors as that will vary by the year.

im in phoenix so maybe it will be easy for you to see it if you want.
let me know

even so, glad to see someone else local getting the FI bug.

Scorp is correct. the system is designed and built for a stock block. since i have built the motor(after that lovely day in SoCal. I am now reaching the limit of the turbo. instead of just replacing the turbo i am going to do something different. still turbo just bigger.
here is a pic of the last dyno pull we made a few weeks ago. (not the one with bad pistons)

As far as in the process, no i am done rebuilding. the dyno below is from that rebuilding process. I am now just going bigger all the way around.

FWIW, before everyone jumps on this thread saying FI is the devil, it blows your motor....just remember, there has NEVER been a turbo system that blew a motor. it is always the tune and or tuner that made it happen. Probably not directly or maliciouse intent, but thats the price you pay for playing the game sometimes.

I agree with Marc, ALL turbo systems are equally safe or dangerous, depending on the person who eventually tunes the car.

Alternatives Alphabetically:

Elite Motorsports - Minneapolis MN
Factor X - Las Vegas, NV
HP Turbo - Roswell, NM
Lovefab - Traverse City, MI

Many Custom builders most of whom make excellent setups.
All use an AEM for OBD1 or MSL-AEM for OBD2 except for FactorX who uses the HKS FCON-PRO.

For supercharger setups, who knows since Comptech closed their doors. I suppose the GruppeM is still available

i think the gruppe m is done also....
i think its down to what ever you can find used...

hows your beast coming....just so you know.. you are part of the reason i need to go bigger !!!
:)

So what is the story with Cartech?

Of these guys, who is actively marketing/selling their product?

Elite, HP and Lovefab. HP seems to be a DIY kit or ship to you and your tuner to install. I think that they must also install. Lovefab (Cody) installs himself, ship car to him and he will do the install or possibly he would be willing to come to you. Elite (Momin) installs himself, also ship to him or you could talk about local install.

My car is in the final stages, parts to get 3D scanning so it can get reconstructed by a manufacturer. Too busy with other things right now so I have put it on the back burner (let Momin deal with it), only have time to work on 1 car at this time, getting my wife's car fully tuned (looking at 400+ RWHP in the Noble courtesy of Hoover at Turbohoses). This will keep our cars relatively close, around 5.5 lbs/hp. This is to maintain peace in the family:biggrin:

cartech is out ther..kinda but it is far froma "kit" its a diy deal and from the ones i have seen it takes some work to get it all together....

Brick, how do you feel on the DIY side of things?

I just got done looking over marc's kit in the for-sale section. Design wise it is a work of art. Long tube headers to a gradual collector moving right into the turbo flange with no hard 90 bends. VERY IMPRESSIVE. Wastegate placement is optimal at the turbo flange so pressure loss is not noticed till at the point of entry. Someone did there homework!

I think you did a GREAT JOB Marc. Its no surprise the set-up produced the numbers it did. What’s more impressive is the response you can see. Peak torque is obtained pretty quick for a low comp motor. I'm sure throttle response was just as impressive.

Someone is going to be VERY HAPPY with your set up. Sad to see you sell it but hopefully the new buyer will appreciate the engineering that it looks like you put into it. And everything fully jet-hot coated. Good to see someone going the extra mile and really showing some love the set-up.

Good luck with your future set-up.

GruppeM is no longer produced, due to the discontinuation of the Eaton M90 unit. If you want a straightforward bolt on and go SC solution, all thats really left is dali's Boostzilla, which I hear is now ready for public consumption.
