My buddy with a v8 has cut outs and it sounds amazing, and he's trying to convince me to try them on the NSX. Not sure how that will sound on the v6, anyone have advise?
I run vacuum bypass valves in my exhaust (like the BMW, Corvettes, Ferraris, Lambos, ect...). Cutouts are a bit crude and should be left to the domestic guys in my opinion

Domestic guys run cutouts because their engines make real power and they need large diameter exhausts! The electric cutout valves have a better butterfly design that seals well with Viton seals. Where can you find vacuum-actuated valves larger than 2" ID? I'd like to get a hold of some.
It was a 3" diameter exhaust that made this video in loud mode. When sealed up, it was as quiet as OEM and I had the sweet OEM intake howl to personally enjoy without attracting unnecessary attention. Electric or vacuum-actuated valves allow you to have the best of both worlds in exhaust systems - power and sound, or peace and quiet.
Anyway, if you want to buy some you can contact Sound Performance Engineering but you'll need to request for vacuum actuators. They sell off their website the boost actuated ones.
You can have it tuned to back pressure using a spring layout (rather low tec) for example only having it open up in v-tec,
2002-2004 RL/Legend has that OEM in it's rear muffler.
F355 ferrari's had a solenoid activated system to do the same job, (which often fails causing manifold welds to break)
