Hello:

I'm setting up a deal with a reseller to do a one time groupbuy for
d2 coilovers.
MSRP on the Coilover is $1166.00
8.25% tax in California.
Group buy price $800 + Shipping & Handling.

Shipping is about $50-$65 withing the 48 state
package weights about 50-60lbs.
Pickup available to Locals in So Cal area. (save on shipping this way)

Telfon coated thread collar for rust resistant operation.

1 yr Manufacturer warranty.

Can buy other spring rate for $50 each. D2 tech informated me that the ride is firm but not harsh on this rate.

If you have Other applications other than NSX give me a PM. dealer may accept that as part for the 5 unit if required.

I will provide the dealer information Via PM for this groupbuy if I get 5 commitments. Dealer can accept Visa/MC. Will not charge to card until item is ready to ship.

This is a one time deal due to the fact that D2 Just arrived to US in Jan 05. They plan to be a premium brand in Coilover manufacturer. They will be kicking off the brand in the upcoming D1 and forumula drift series later this year. They are committed to go up against JIC and Tein in quality and performance.

Damper can be service within the us in D2 Racing's NC or So Cal facilities.

15k for the front and 9k for the rear??

I don't know the compression/ rebound of these shocks but the 15k seems a little high for street. My Tein RA 10k at the front is stiff enough... just for comparison.

Yes I was concern with the rate too but reading from other forums on other vehicle application. D2 spring rate seem to work good with their dampers. Simply 15Kg/mm rate for D2 is Not like 15Kg/mm for Tein. D2 will be softer than Tein at the same rate.

Not a flame, just an fyi -
"other vehicle application" typically have an engine at the front .......
Note that stock NSX spring rate is 3 - 3.5 Kg/mm depending on year , Zanardi is 6.5 and the latest Type R is 10.4. 15 seems pretty extreme for the street especially - that is going to feel rock-solid on the street regardless of the shock's characteristics. I would recommend a 10 Kg/mm spring on the front, rear is probably OK.

Hey, I can get them cheaper than that including shipping. They quoted me $750 with a long shipping time, 2-4 weeks, but with 3-5 day shipping cost at $50, $800 total shipped. If we order them in a bulk order we might get a better deal. What do you think? Otherwise I will add myself to the list.

I was supposed to have purchased them buy now but my dealer, a friend of mine that has a dealer license, couldn't use my visa on his dealer account. I will have to write him a check and have him use his visa. He works with me, so it's not a trust issue. Anyhow he can get us a good deal.

My dealer say there is a price control on these items. D2 do not want dealer to blow them out at cost. so this deal is limited to the few sets.

About the 2-3 weeks wait. That is depending if the item is in stock within the US. If it is instock it is normal ground transmit time of 3-5 business days after Fedex or UPS pickup.

Thom:-- Re: your visa situation.. that sounds weird. Unless your card is a non-US base credit card it should go thru. In that case most online reseller will have problem using your card. Most online dealer will only ship to billing address.
