Eddie Duangrat (QWKSLVR) has invited DC-area NSX owners to a DIY/ detail day and BBQ at his house on Sunday 6/29. PLEASE R.S.V.P. HERE FOR THIS EVENT!!

Here's info on the NSX "DIY Day" cookout I'm planning to host at my house on Sunday, June 29, let's say at @ 12 PM. I'll of course provide the grill, beverages, and food but feel free to bring your meats or "grillables" if you have any dietary preferences. I'll have 2 hoses hooked up if any one wishes to wash their NSX and at least 1 garage bay for detailing in the shade. I've got a big jug of Zymol car wash to share, but please bring your own wash supplies. I also have a low profile race jack and some tools if you'd like to get under the car. We can also have a DIY workshop for projects like making mesh engine covers, etc. The day is open and informal we could go for a drive or just eat burgers, drink some cold ones and do nothing at all, open to suggestions.

Directions:

Take I 395 South to Exit 169 A Springfield/Franconia

Get into far left lane once on Franconia Rd. Take overpass (it's okay if you miss the overpass, just continue east on Franconia).

Pass Lee H.S. on left and after @2 traffic lights or about a 1/4 mile take left on Willowfield Way. Continue to 6245 Willowfield (on left side) and look for a bunch of NSXes.

I am in the process of buying Jay's 91 NSX in the next week or so, which means I should have it by then and be able to meet you guys.

Do you know how long you will be there? I have a brunch thing to go to Sunday morning, so I might be later than noon.

Also DCNSX, you mentioned a MidAtlantic Email List? Where is that set-up? Can I PM you can give you my email address and get added or is it on YahooGroups or something?

Bandit, welcome to the club, Jay is a cool dude & if you talk to him, extend the invite to him for me. Bring grub if you wish, I will provide some food, but extra never hurt!

I was wondering if there'll be anyone at the BBQ who'd be able and willing to help me install my Dali carbon side vents? I am having problems removing the cog/ridge knob that holds the OEM vents in place. Don (donwon) and I tried today to no avail, anyone have small forearms who might be willing to give it a shot? Or at least offer some tangible tips? Help me please!! TIA
 
I can't offer much except perhaps small forearms, so I can certainly try to reach those knobs. :)

Eddy, so far only the rear wheel spacer came.
The front wheel spacer will be available on July 15 because of back order.
I'll try tp get the universal wheel spacer for front axle, just for temporary.
 
If anyone has an orbital buffer/waxer, please bring it. See you Sunday.

Fellas, being that this event outdoors, we are hoping for great weather, but as you know, this year has been kinda crazy & the forecasts have been way off. Last I checked, should be in the 80's and partly sunny, but you never know. Anyhow, if you wake up and it's rainy sunday morning, you'll know that the event has been postponed until either July 4 or July 6.

Next time I'll bring the NSX-Files DVD and we'll try out your home theatre.
