I do...especially now that the '08 redesign makes the E46 even more attractive. Ahhh...the memories.

Here's my old M3 (before I caught the AMG bug)...

What a Beaut.
Love the black.
Never had an M3, but have always checking it out.

Funny Avatar you've got.

Nice ride, I would miss it too !

I Dont, 'cause I still own it. I am contemplating TCK coilovers, the stock suspension is a too stiff for NE roads.

Ive had more than a few M3 demo's and I personally think, overall...Its one of the best sports cars for any dollar amount, hands down. Down everything right, no major flaws, has a timeless look and is very fast. Im all over an MY 08+ once the hoopla is over. Way to much money right now:frown:My 6 does me just fine but there is nothing like an M:wink:

You could deal with the rubbery gearbox after driving an S2K and NSX?

Funny you say that, because that is my biggest complaint. Among the worst Ive ever driven and the clutch is kinda tricky but overall very fun and a visual stunner. The convertable is nice for the summer:wink:

I fixed mine with a Rogue SSK, very precise with a little more effort. Best mod I ever did on my M3.

Availble for a 645?

I dated a girl with one. It was an awesome car until she rolled it and her dad made here get a 'safe' SUV.

If it weren't for that I'd like the E46 much more. That's at least 25% of the driving experience for me and it was sub par, at least in the car I drove [26->36k miles].

Agreed. Gearbox feel is a good deal of my driving experience. I find myself needlessly rowing through gears in Hondas because the boxes are so tight.

When I test drove the M3, the gear box was enough reason to make me pass.

Gearbox was one of the main reasons I sold mine. When I downshift quickly I tend to just pull the shifter towards me and down at an angle. The M3 doesn't allow you to do this. You have to me too precise. It would constantly get caught, making for some disappointing heel/toe shifts.

I never got one after a friend blew up a 1995 2x missing a shift. The gear box in the M3 kinda sucks, I also drove a SMG and really hated it, you think they would do like Ferrari but they failed. I am looking at the M5 M6's 2005+ but not sure if I will get one due to BMW service.

Fantastic cars. I love every model from the e30 - e92. I really enjoy my e36 and after replacing the woen out shifting bushings with a UUC EVO3 SSK, its a dream. I just wish the US 36s had the e46-killing 321hp motor =( All of them are truly the ultimate driving machines.
